The home smells like its inhabitant(s)—we know this—or rather both the home and the human smell like the products and produce of their maintenance interlaced with that secret twinge of personal constitution—whether glandular (in the case of the human) or material-historical (in the case of the edifice). It is an amalgamation of the laundered and the unlaundered, the drywalled and the bricked, the fried and the baked, the kempt and the unkempt. It is a charade of sexed-on/slept-on/sweated-on linens. It is a power struggle of habitual and impulsive, revealed and disguised, permanent and fleeting odors that are always jumping up to greet you as you walk through the door… Down, boy! Down! Sit.
What I want to say is – why not take a little more control? If your house is going to smell like you anyway, why not make it compliment the you you like to smell? Hence I recommend this little candle and perfume combo. Simple and complex and so good.
